Case Study — Higher Education
Adobe Creative Cloud for a Malaysian university
A Malaysian university's design and media faculty standardised its labs and teaching staff on Adobe Creative Cloud, licensed under the Adobe VIP education programme through OG Solutions Sdn Bhd.

The brief
The faculty teaches graphic design, animation and digital media. Labs had been licensed inconsistently — some machines on old perpetual installs, some on subscriptions bought ad hoc — and students were signing in with personal Adobe IDs. IT wanted licences the institution could actually account for at audit, and lecturers wanted labs that were ready on day one of semester.
What we delivered
- Adobe VIP education enrolment for the institution
- Shared Device Licensing across design and media computer labs
- Named-user seats for lecturers, tutors and studio staff
- Adobe Admin Console linked to the campus identity provider for SSO
- Lab imaging and packaging guidance for the IT department
- Semester-aligned renewal dates and seat usage reporting
- MYR quotation with LO/PO and tender documentation
- Onboarding sessions for teaching staff
How the licensing works
Labs run Shared Device Licensing, so Creative Cloud is installed on the machine and any authorised student can sign in — no personal Adobe IDs, no per-student seat juggling. Teaching and studio staff get named-user seats they can also use off-campus. Everything is administered from one Adobe Admin Console tied to campus SSO, and renewals land with the academic calendar rather than mid-semester.
Because OG Solutions Sdn Bhd is a Ministry of Finance (MOF) registered supplier, public institutions can procure through the channel they already use. Full details on our Adobe for education and government and GLC licensing pages.
The outcome
- Every lab machine covered by a licence the institution can evidence at audit.
- Students sign in with campus credentials instead of personal Adobe accounts.
- Renewals and seat counts reviewed each intake, quoted in MYR against an LO/PO.
